Ecole Centrale D’Electronique

Founded in 1919, the Ecole Centrale d’Electronique (ECE) is a privately-endowed educational institution located in the heart of Paris. The mission of ECE was initially to advance knowledge and educate students in the emerging radio communications domain. At that time, the founder of ECE, Eugène Poirot, rightly believed that radio applications would offer a lot of development opportunities in both civil and military areas. ECE prides itself on a long history of standing at the forefront of the fast-paced changes in education for science and technology.
Historically, the ECE curriculum included courses on the television as early as in 1939, on the transistor as early as in 1959, and on the burgeoning yet new field of computer science in 1970.
Since its inception, ECE has committed to educating students in science and technology at undergraduate and graduate levels. Its curriculum primarily focuses on emerging information and communication technologies such as computer science, networks, telecommunications, electronics, embedded systems, and digital media technology .
The ECE curriculum reflects the ever-changing world we live in, with evolving coursework and proactive degree design, preparing our students for the challenges that lie ahead.
